ROAD CLOSURES ON SATURDAY 7 & SUNDAY 8 AUGUST 2021
The following road closures will be implemented to allow the London Triathlon 2021 to take place over the weekend of the 7 & 8 August
SATURDAY 7 & SUNDAY 8 AUGUST 2021
On both days, Lower Lea Crossing, Tidal Basin, Western Gateway (between Lower Lea Crossing and Seagull Lane) Seagull Lane, Sandstone Lane and Royal Albert Way will be closed to traffic.
SUNDAY 8 AUGUST ONLY
Victoria Embankment, Blackfriars Underpass, Upper Thames Street, Lower Thames Street and Byward Street, and Tower Hill will be closed in both directions. White Lion Hill will also be closed.
East Smithfield, The Highway, Limehouse Link Tunnel will be closed in both directions.
Aspen Way will be closed WB between East India Tunnel and Limehouse Link Tunnel. The East India Tunnel WB will also be closed.
We have worked closely with Transport for London, London Borough of Newham, London Borough of Tower Hamlets, The City of London and Westminster City Council together with the Emergency Services to minimise the impact of the event.
If you do need to travel, we recommend that you plan ahead to consider the best route. We also recommend that you allow extra time for your journey on these days

Please note that road closures will mean some local bus services will be diverted or terminate earlier than usual. Tube and rail will be the best way to get around Eastern London on the day.
